P G Wodehouse? Who's that?

Heh! Just kidding. It's not like I don't know who he is... but just that his comedy didn't really appeal to me that much. His kind of humor doesn't exactly match up with my taste. Humor with a lot of sarcasm and witty remarks is more my speed. But one fine day, when just going through the blogs over here in blogspot, I chanced upon one that was kind of roving about Wodehouse. Having nothing to do (actually being kind of bored) I got a book from the library.

"The Inimitable Jeeves".

Not a bad book. Kind of liked the vocab he used cause it had some words I never saw in common usage - 'clement', 'sanguine'...! This book was mostly short stories and it was quite good. Didn't break into a roaring laughter but, did kind of make me smile now and then.

Then, I tried my luck with another book...

"Ring for Jeeves"
This book, was quite good, in fact... I even broke into laughter (Yes!) here and there. It wasn't bad. The starting was a bit dull, but once we got to the protagonists, it was ok.

Now, any Wodehouse fans out there, I don't mean to rain on your parade... I will accept that the vocabulary used by Wodehouse is simply astounding, and all in all it is quite a good read. But still, if any of you chance upon this book by Woody Allen (of Sex, Lies and Videotape fame), do read it, and you'll understand what real sarcastic comedy is ;)

Pained!

Hi again. I don't know what I'm doing over here. I don't even want to blog. Maybe I'm just too bored to think of anything else. Blogs are really boring. Even the ones that i've read so far aren't exactly 'fun' to read :-/. Oh well, if not anything, I'll just fill you up on what happened today. Nothing! I've been sitting here all day in a bad mood coz the voltage fluctuation screwed up my cousin's TV tuner card and now I've got to replace it X-(. Other than that, Nothing much. Catch you later.

Change of heart.....

... I already miss it....my poor sweet little baby . Well, it's not like she's going away forever.... just for a while she'll be back. My sweet little computer. Oh well, I guess I've got to do this if I want to clear all the courses of this sem. btw :D if anyone is curious about how I'm typing this, well, surprisingly just as smylee was taking away my cabinet, a laptop came out of nowhere and fell into my ....uh.... lap :D. Well, I'm not here to talk abt that. Let's not derail from the main topic shall we? 'A change of heart'!!! What does it mean? Actually, it means tht something miraculous has just happened. Well not exactly.... here's how it happened:

I was sitting in my room minding my own business when smylee comes into my room and says 'Arey, I'm going to buy the new 80GB hard disk. Will you come with me? I;ll even arrange for a vandi(Yes i am that sought after .... or is it only when people have problems with their computers? hmmmm)' . And then, out of nowhere, I suddenly suggested to him that he use my computer until our end semester exams get over. This way both of us will be able to mug. I mean out of nowhere did I get this idea. Anyway he took to it immediatly and started making space in his room for my cabinet. With that out of my room, I thought this would be a good time to clean up my room. So it's 12:50am now, I've cleaned up my room and table and for once in this semester there are no books lying on the floor. So .... now comes the greatest question of all time.... wht was the real miracle? Giving away my computer for 10 days ..... or finally cleaning my room after a period of 2 months? I would like to think of it as a double miracle. Maybe the good days are arriving finally. I just might be able to pull of some decent grades this end semester ;). Anyways, it's time for bed.

Stagecoach 2005

Hi guys ! Just felt like blogging and so .... here I am. Yea I know I said the last one would be the last post. But hey, ;) I just felt like blogging. Anyways abt stagecoach... IT SUX BIGTIME!!!! I'm tired of it. We had 2 plays in the theatre and now the dean and diro want us to do it again for their sake. I mean .... come on.... we gave them free front row tickets in an air conditioned theatre and they blew it. Now we've got to do it again for them? Don't we have anything better to do than this? Sheesh!!! Anyway, it's time to go... so i'll catch you later when I have something more interesting to write about. cya.

Well hi everyone. This is going to be the last post for now. I'm not really into blogging and until someone actually make me take an interest in this stuff, I won't be blogging again. Not soon anyway. Take care everyone.

Blog #2

Blog #2 ! Yep yep yep.... i know it's a bit lame. But honestly, I don't have any idea of what to enter in this space. Ok as a friend of mine suggested (read !ndra) I guess I'll just enter whatever I did today. Well, today I was supposed to play with LED and his band at NIFT to inaugarate their cul fest or rock fest or something. But unfortunately the faculty made a last minute decision to cancel our show coz we're outsiders or something . But, LED isn't the kind of guy to give up. So, since we were anyway in the mood of playing, he called up UNWIND and arranged for us to play for LIVE 101 which takes place every friday evening. So off we went and played. Although Eddie (the UNWIND guy) had a lot of negative things to say about us, it didn't dampen our spirits (not mine atleast coz I played just 2 songs ;)). Anyways, so much for that. Now it's 10:37PM according to the clock in my computer and tomorrow is a SATURDAY (HURRAY!!!), I plan on spending a long and happy evening(or night) with my one and only true love....

My first Blog....

Well,well well..... here i am. I've known abt blogs for a long time but this is the first time that i'm actually entering something into one. I don't know how long i'll stick with this fad so i don;t think there's any point in actually publicizing my blog.... not yet anyway, there;s nothing in it :D. Anyways, I just can't seem to think of anything interesting to write right now so I guess i'll be back with my second blog. Till then, BYE ;)
